The Digital Health Innovation Lab

The Innovation Lab at dHRC, founded in 2014, is a collaborative space where multidisciplinary teams of engineers, researchers, health care professionals, programmers and designers experiment, create and develop new ideas, products, and technologies. It provides an environment for exploration, learning, and prototyping. The Lab is typically focused on finding creative solutions to real-world problems faced by underserved, marginalized populations in low- and middle-income countries. The Digital Health Innovation Lab aims to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and experimentation to drive progress and growth globally.

The Lab houses several 3D printers, for prototyping and product design, manufacturing and development of health care innovations at low-cost.

The Innovation Lab has enabled dHRC, in collaboration with the Aga Khan University faculty, to file multiple patents in Pakistan as well as the USA, as listed below:
