The EMR application is a collaborative effort between the Department of Family Medicine and dHRC at the Aga Khan University, resulting from a research study spearheaded by Dr Unab Khan, Associate Professor and Chair, Department of Family Medicine.
The web-based application encompasses three unique application modules- Unit Clerk, Nurse, and Doctor - designed to provide end-users such as unit clerks, nurses, doctors, and residents in training with a seamless experience. The data generated by the patients visiting the facility is recorded in the EMR application by these users, making it an essential tool for healthcare providers to efficiently manage patients.
In a seamless and fully integrated process, the EMR system begins with the Unit Clerk and culminates with the physician's consultation. After the consultation, the Unit Clerk can print the patient's receipt, prescriptions, and follow-up appointments directly from the application.
